Gus and Hope | Cooper's Landing Engagement Session
Flirty Spring Engagement Session On Katy Trail Along Missouri River in Columbia, Missouri
I spent a most beautiful Friday night with this sweet newly engaged couple while local music played in the background at Cooper’s Landing. We beat the flooding that was to come in the following week, but on this day the evening sun shone brilliantly while I photographed their engagement session entirely on film. It was so easy to get to know Gus and Hope and to hold a conversation with them; they were equally as interested in me as I was in them! Their flirty chemistry on camera was the type of connection that every couple’s photographer craves. Gus and Hope are the kindest and most caring couple, so chill, and down for anything; I love their adventurous spirits!
Gus and Hope are definitely a couple after my own heart. Their favorite way to spend time together is quietly at home, watching TV and eating take out (which parallels perfectly with their proposal story!). They are self-proclaimed homebodies!
Hope brought a lovely fresh bouquet of beautiful blooms to spice up their engagement session. Accessories like this add a unique loveliness to any session!
The pair are tying the knot on New Year’s Eve this year, so it was only appropriate that they ended their engagement session with a champagne pop!
“It was early December and we were at Stoney Creek Inn celebrating our anniversary a little early. We had a totally chill night in sweatpants, ate BBQ for dinner and exchanged anniversary gifts. Gus knew that there was a brand that I loved that gave money back to orphans in Hati, and so my gift was one of their “Four Things” totes. It had four things written on the front: “12-10-15. Love. Sleeping In. Mrs. Goodnight.” As soon as I opened my gift he proposed! I was half surprised and half ‘oh my gosh I knew it!’ because everyone around me recently had been acting so excited. WE’RE ENGAGED!!!!” —Hope
Congratulations Gus and Hope!
