Ben and Becca | Kempker's Back 40 Engagement Session
Golden Hour Summer Engagement Session at Lakeside Valley and Vineyards in Westphalia, Missouri
A perfectly quiet evening greeted us at Kempker’s Back 40 for Ben and Becca’s engagement session. Though the air was still and the humidity was up, the sun glowed magically through the trees and bounced off of of the creek water and diffused magnificently through the waving grass in the open field; the perfect landscape for a film photographer. Ben and Becca were all smiles from the get go - excited to see me and excited to be with one another. I could quickly see this couple’s unabashed chemistry unfold in front of my eyes. They were up for anything, had a wild and carefree spirit about them, and molded together through every pose so romantically. Ben and Becca are truly meant for one another!
“Ben came home from drill on June 9th and I asked him if he would take me to dinner and then road tripping afterwards to pick up Jayden from my parents’ house. He agreed and while we were on the road Ben stopped and parked at the four way stop. We always stop here, but then Ben got out of the Jeep and said, “There’s a rock in my boot.” He took off his boot and pulled out an engagement ring! I was honesty really shocked - he actually surprised me!” —Becca
Ben and Becca’s favorite past time while he is home from work is to road trip in their bright red Jeep with Becca’s son Jayden - who especially loves to be on the road with Ben and Becca!
Ben is a member of the army and I got reallllly excited when I found out that he brought his uniform to wear during their engagement session. Thank you for your service Ben!
These two will be tying the knot in October at the very same place that we photographed their engagement session - Kempker’s Back 40! I’m praying for another golden hour as perfect as this!
Congratulations Ben and Becca! I cannot wait for your wedding day very soon!
