Hannah | Morning-Of Bridal Session at Authenticity Workshop
Natural, Intimate, and Organic Bridal Session on Steps of Century Old Bed and Breakfast in Macon, Missouri
Many brides-to-be schedule bridal sessions with their photographer on the day of their hair and makeup trial run, but so many miss out on the natural intimacy that is present during a bridal session on the morning of their wedding. Think about it: when you wake up on the morning of the most important day of your life, most often you lay there in the stillness of the dawn, while the birds are singing and the sun is peeking out over the horizon, and you imagine what the day will entail. All of your hard work and planning is finally going to come together, but most importantly, you’re going to become a wife, and Mrs., a helpmate for the rest of your life. You’re finally going to take that walk down the aisle that you’ve always dreamed of, and your husband to be is going to look at you and think, “Wow, I get to build a life with her.”
For this morning-of bridal portrait session, we were inspired to create an effortlessly beautiful and quiet space for the bride to spend her morning before she would slip into her wedding gown. These portraits are a keepsake, a gift to her husband, and a memento of how radiant and lovely she is before offering her vows. The front porch of this century old bed and breakfast where the bride’s family stayed the evening before was an ideal setting to create an organic oasis of floral texture, including the bride’s favorite blooms and pastel colors. The charming symmetry of the bed and breakfast paired with the delicate textures of the bride’s lace robe created a natural moment in time full of class and elegance.
